Philip Caldwell –
Hi there, have seen your comments re sizing and just to confirm please, I’m normally a UK size 8 with normal shoe socks, will your boots, which look wonderful by the way, should still be an 8 with a slightly thicker shooting sock? I understand totally your returns policy if the boots are only worn around the house to test them. Kind regards Phil
Josh Trueman –
Hi Phillip, our boots are true to size so sticking with a size 8 will be best.
Chris H –
Normally go through a pair of boots in next to no time at all. These boots are hard wearing, comfy and really easy to keep in great condition with the aftercare products. Highly recommend these boots, they are on a different level!

Diemme CERVO ROSSO; 11″ Shooting Boots. I brought a pair of these boots in July 2020, I have used them each game season to date, in hard and muddy wet conditions, and for multiple other shooting activities. I wear them at least twice a week. The manufacturing quality, extremely strong sole, brilliant comfortable fit, and 100% waterproof are the features of these excellent boots. I would not hesitate to recommend.
Adam Cross (verified owner) –
From the time I opened the box you can see the quality of these boots . Quality of materials and manufacture is fantastic . Very comfortable to wear they are boots made to last. As a company they are fantastic . Very helpful with any questions or queries . Great boots and great company would highly recommend.

So what’s to be said about Brandecosse…?
Well quite simply the fact that they are a brilliant company designing and supplying the best traditional type boots but with modern methods and materials you can possibly lay your hands on with your hard earned cash. With some old traditional styling but using some of the best materials available these boots just ooze quality and perfection from opening the box to wearing them.
I was sat on the fence for quite a while before finally taking the plunge and buying a pair or Cervo Rosso as I love a tall lace up boot for good ankle support which these certainly give. These were soon followed by a pair of Fagiano for the times when a full height boot isn’t needed. Which only meant one thing, I couldn’t say no to a pair of Rubicon’s in the sale. All 3 pairs have been comfy out of the box with minimal braking in times. They are warm and waterproof and certainly look the part.
Now don’t get me wrong, non of these boots are cheap by any means, but what do you call cheap in this throw away world we live in? I don’t mind and would rather spend my money on something that isn’t cheap but knowing that it will last with a little TLC, rather than by cheap and throw away with in 6 months or sooner.
So if you are sat on the fence, reading through the reviews of this companies boots then take the plunge and get a pair or pairs. You won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely beautiful boots.
I planned a short three mile walk to ‘break them in’ but due to a wrong turn ended up doing over twice that(!) and there was no discomfort or rubbing.
I bought them for shooting really but they’ve become my go-to walking boots (when I’m not wearing the rubicons).
Perfect.
Phil Hodges –
Received my boots last week, very quick delivery, only 2 days from order. Super comfortable and true to size as advised.. Use them for game/clay shooting..Ordered the aftercare kit aswel. Was out of stock, but was told it will follow shortly.
Everyone has commented on how light they are for such a big boot. A fine investment if I do say so myself!!!
Kevin Dickie –
Excellent boots super comfortable right from the first time wearing them no need to break them in. Wore them at grouse and pheasant days and they’ve been spot on 👌🏻
Daryl (verified owner) –
The Cervo Rosso boots are outstanding. I saw them and purchased them on a recommendation of another gun on a shoot. I cannot be more satisfied. Comfortable right out of the box and more comfortable than any other boot I have tried. Have used them on multiple shoots with varied terrrain. Comfortable and flawless on any terrain or through water and mud. Takes a bit longer than wellies to lace up and a little more maintenance and care but well worth the effort. The clean up and after care kit make them almost new (but with the character of use). Shipping to the States was smooth and quick. Great customer service that was friendly and helpful to determine size and availability- also to better distinguish between Cervo Rosso with rubber cap and the Brontolare without. Great purchase. Well worth it.

Very quick delivery of a very high quality pair of boots. I was fed up with buying new boots for about 70 – 100 quid every couple of years so thought I’d take the plunge and spend some decent money on a pair of boots that’ll probably see me out. I spend most of the year in woodland working and undertaking wildlife surveys, and also spend most of the winter working my spaniels beating on several shoots. I’ve had these boots for just over a week now and after about 30 miles of walking through ancient oak woodland on rocky north Devon cliffs and through soaking, muddy wet woodland in Somerset where I live they are softening up very nicely and wearing to the shape of my feet. The height meant they rubbed my shins at first but the leather soon softened. I noticed one review in the press mentioned the lack of traction on the sole leading to sliding around – I haven’t noticed this at all. I wore them for a 3 mile walk this morning and didn’t notice them – forgot I was wearing new boots, which must be a good thing. Several people have asked about the weight in reviews above. I don’t think they’re heavy at all, but they’re not lightweight. Heavy / light is a bit subjective really so I wouldn’t like to comment. An excellent pair of boots, made in Europe, with European materials, by people who clearly know what they’re doing. Oozing with both aesthetic and practical quality – highly recommended. Thank you.
Josh Trueman –
Hi Nick. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such an in depth review. Amazing to hear how much you’ve been enjoying them!
Looking forward to hearing where you get to in your boots in the coming years.
Kind regards,
Josh
Robert Miller –
Hi,
Following the purchase of these boots, I have been blown away with the super customer service from my initial contact through to delivery, I have purchased the boots as a Christmas present so can’t provide a review other than they look great, I’m very happy with the purchase.
In summary I can’t recommend this company enough, anyone thinking of purchasing some boots contact Jane and team and they will ensure you are well looked after, I just wish other companies prided themselves on the high standards that have been set here.
Thanks again, Rob
David Smeaton Sporting –
Have owned a pair of The Rubicon Shearling lined since 2018 and they are still brilliant except I now need more ankle support for the work I am doing on the hill.
Bought a pair of the The Cervo Rosso at the start of the season and they have been on my feet most days since.
Can’t fault the quality – brilliant fit, comfortable, waterproof etc – they’ve had a punishing 8 weeks of varied Scottish weather and terrain and the bonus is they did
not require ‘breaking in’ – extremely comfortable from day 1
Great service as before from point of order to delivery
Well done guys
Josh Trueman –
Thank you so much for leaving a comment David 😀 Nothing better than hearing how you’re getting on with your boots!
Sarah Garrigan –
Really considering a pair of these boots.
Please can anyone tell me if they are heavy?
I had Harkila and Meindle. Harkila felt like I had lead weights on my feet!
Jane Trueman –
Hello Sarah,
So sorry for the delay in geting back to you. We don’t tend to get comments about the weight of our boots being too much and certainly against other brands. Saying that they are a substantial boot that is made to last, the hides we use are all 2.5mm full grain hides and with a Vibram sole, which can actually be replaced giving the boot a longer life. If you are looking for a very light boot then why not look at the Capriolo just depending on what you plan to do in them. Any further info Sarah, do just ask.
Best
Jane

First I would like to say what a wonderful team you have. From the amazingly helpful and knowledgeable team at the Gamefair 2021 to the customer service team who wrote a handwritten note with the boots they despatched straight after the show, ensuring they arrived on the specified day. Customer service like that speaks volumes for the business!
The boots are amazing, so comfortable straight out of the box. The quality is clear to see, and feel. Best boots I’ve ever owned and I’ve tried all the big brands
Jane Trueman –
Hello Andy,
Thank you for your kind note, delighted you are pleased with your boots. We all enjoyed the Gamefair, nothing like meeting folk who are interested in our boots, all here proud of our range so it was a super treat showing them off. Kindest regards Amelia

Excellent.
Really friendly staff when I called about the BASC discount. Cervo Rosso boots delivered promptly and I have already covered a few miles (permitted exercise with the dogs😊) – the snow and ice have gone but still plenty of testing mud and flinty ground locally.
I’ve been shooting and walking in the country for 60+ years and never had a pair of boots that felt as good without “breaking in”.
Great design and workmanship .

Worth every penny!
I bought these boots in November and since been my go to boot. They are comfortable, warm and noticed by others as an attractive boot. Speedy dispatch that included the aftercare wax. Faultless product, many thanks and will be purchasing another pair shortly.
Many thanks, Sy
Jane Trueman –
Many thanks Sy, more than happy you are pleased with them. Kindest regards Jane
Will Brougham –
I ordered a pair of Cervo Rosso and they arrived the next day. The customer service is excellent with good communication from the outset. Sizing is true to size and the toe box is nice and roomy.
They are without doubt a quality sturdy boot and needed about three decent outings to break them in. They just get more comfortable the more I wear them and I expect they will get better and better with time.
Andy –

My boots were delivered today. They are really well made and look like they will last longer than my Harkila and Meindl’s did. I would recommend getting some inner soles though, for one of the most expensive boots on the market, I would have thought a better one would have been provided with the boots. Other than the innersole I would recommend these boots over the others.
Jane Trueman –
Hello Jody, Thank you for your reveiw, very pleased you are happy with your boots, we will certainly look at the inner soles, thank you. Jane
Kevin (verified owner) –
Iv got a pare of the cervo rosso boots 🥾 iv walked about probably 20 miles on them now just to let you no iv had 5 pares of Mendel boots a very good boot i have the lowa Hunter gtx evo extreme they are a very comfortable boot now back to the rosso boot the quality the leather outstanding the boots area bit wider than the mendels witch gives the sole a bigger foot print which makes the boot feel more stability you feel your ankles are very supported with the high leg the more I walk on them the more comfortable they are getting just to say I walk over stonie paths , Forrest roads grass field, over heather and so on I think I’m trying to say I wish I got them a lot sooner but time will tell how good they really are so if your thinking of getting a pare don’t hesitate go get them .
Jane Trueman –
Thank you Kevin for putting your Cervo Rosso’s through their paces in designing them we have cut no corners on the best of quality materials, we know they will perform well, a lovely product to sell. Thank you for your kind words. Jane
Nick Fowler (verified owner) –
I put off buying these boots for far too long. I’m done with wellies, cheap and expensive. Military boots and Asian brands that just fall apart. During the winter I Beat, Pick-up and Shoot over a series of terrains and shoots. Often in rain, always in wet fields and crops. These boots are the best. Warm, supportive, easy to clean and very stylish. Buying them from Brandecosse was a pleasure and I can’t wait for the Fieldsports season to start again.
Pierre Rawlins-Duquemin (verified owner) –
I have worn Meindl in the past and still have a pair of Harkila. I thought long and hard during lockdown and took the plunge and purchased a pair of Cervo Rosso. The service was brilliant and when they promptly arrived I was stunned at the quality of their construction. If you want a pair of tall lace up boots that are as comfortable as a pair of slippers then look no further. They are worth every penny and I am looking forward to replacing my current chainsaw boots with a pair of Brand Ecosse. I don’t usually write reviews but in this case I am so impressed that I had to.
Amy Bolton (verified owner) –
These are great pair boots my partner absolutely loves them .
Had a bit of a problem with sizing but after returning the boots we received the new pair the following morning !!
Great customer service !
Happy customer 🙂
IR –
hi
I am a size 10 would it be wise to purchase a pair 10 1/2 ?
Jane Trueman –
Hello sorry I haven’t got your name. Thank you for your note. Our boots are made on a European last but we have put our UK sizes to them and have allowed for a sock, in general we recommend you go for your usual size, they are quite generous width wise. As we say to everybody if we are wrong and after you walking around the house in them think another size would of been better then no worries we will just change them, they are built to last so worth getting the fit just right. Here if you need me. Best Jane
Dave Evans –
Never heard of Cervo Rosso? Who actually makes your boots? Are they double stitched on the sole? What is the thickness of the leather? Hydrophobic is a term used by Zamberlan, any relation to them? I notice the lower eyelets are ball bearing eyes, this is a trait of Hanwag? You state they are made in Italy, with the terms “Hydrophobic and Italy” this points to Zamberlan. If they were made by Zamberlan then that would speak for the quality!
I am unable to put a rating on as I don’t own a pair.
Jane Trueman –
Hello Dave, Thank you for your note, let me see if I can cover all of your points. We have designed our leather boot range here, they are double stitched on the sole, the leather is all 2.5mm thick. Hydrophobic is a term that can be used by anybody, meaning has been treated to repel moisture. We are nothing to do with Zamberlan or Hanwag although we do recognize them as quality brands. Best Jane
TJ HUGHES –
why havent i seen these boots before .. iv had them all , im half way through my hanwag high tops , planning my next pair of boots . cerca rosso,s are top of my list , that stitching is quality not often seen down the fastener edge ..looks really neat and better fitted than most bellowed tongues
Jane Trueman –
Hello Thomas, Thank you for that, we have made sure every detail is as good as it can be, plus the hides we use are of the best quality, a lovely thing to sell actually as we know they will perform well plus offering all day comfort. Kindest regards Jane
Jørgen Dreyer –
I am considering a pair of Cervo Rosso,; do they come in half numbers and what about the width, are they a litte wider than normal or ….
Thanks a lot.
Dreyer in Denmark
Jane Trueman –
Hello Jorgen, Thank you for your note our boots are quite generous width wise and when the leather relaxes they will mould to the shape of your feet then faithful pals for many a year. Our boots are all made on a European last but we have put our UK sizes to them which we think are quite accurate so if you are normally a UK10 you probably will be our UK10. We do a 10 1/2 and a 6 1/2 but that is just us catching up on sizing if you would like advice on which side to go for do just ask. Best regards Jane

Being a gamekeeper I am hard on boots and in them all day they have to be comfortable and do their job. I already have the Cervo 18 months old now and cracking boots they can scuff and loose colour on the toe a little but they polish up right well again with the scuff cover they supply. I normally run two pair of boots anyway and was going to get another Cervo but thought I would give Cervo Rosso a go and well pleased I did. Rough heather days I wear the Rosso then other days my Cervo’s well pleased. Ed Fife
